THe dreadly disiease CML is treated with GLeevec maf. by novartis , a u.s. based company, But the cost is comparatively very high for a normal middle class family to afford. I have come to know that an indian subsititue is also available for this medicine .namely VEENAT manufactured by NATCO ,. Can i get some feedback for this indian medicine ? Is anyone using this medicine for treating CML? I want to know the success rate for the same plz > if anybody can help.
i practice in haematology in england.
CML is treatable and gleevec (imatinib) is the drug of choice and yes if the indian version is cheeper, pls go for it. the mechanism of action of the drug would still be the same.

My sister(32 yrs) old has been operated for colon cancer in Apollo(Kolkata) last week. The test report has come today after operation , which says the cancer is in early stage 3.
