I am 52years,male, thalassemia trait& bronchial asthma, hypertensive, non-Diabetic, SpO2-100%, sensation was decreased along left C5, C6, T1 nerve roots, muscle power was 4/5 in left upper limb, reflexes were brisk in left lower limb with extensor planter response in left side. MRI of cervical spine demonstrated left sided C5/C6 & C6/C7 disc prolapse, with sever compression on spinal cord 7 nerve roots.
Diagnosis: Cervical myeloradiculopathy due to disc prolapsed at C5/6 &C6/7 levels, with associated spinal cord & syrinx.
Procedure performed: on 05/08/2008 under G/A: Anterior cervical mocrodisectomy at C5/6 & C6/7 LEVELS & FUSION WITH CAGE.
Findings: Disc materials were severely compressing the cord & left C5, C6 & C7 nerve roots.
My post operative condition: Now I am suffering from sever burning sensation into left hand including fingers nerve ending skin, back side skin, right hand including fingers nerve ending skin, left and back neck collar side, and I also follow up under my neurosurgeon and he advised me for further MRI but I am afraid and worried to perform MRI due to implanted unknown metallic disc into my cervical spinal zone because surgeon does not mentioned what type of metallic disc implanted there.
Now I need your professional cooperation, please advice me ‘how I can relief from this sever skin burning sensation and make my life easy and normal’ please help me.
Waiting for your reply.
