Ayurveda Suggests Know Yourself Today For A Better Health Tomorrow

Many working professionals these days follow a lifestyle that can slowly bring about ill-effects on their overall health. For instance, most of them get up around 8 am in the morning and just because it has become late, they skip the breakfast for rushing to the office. After visiting office, they work for hours together sitting in front of the computer. Of course, some of them are taking breaks in between for smoking or for having a cup of tea. After long hours of hard work, they reach home by around 10 pm, finish off their dinner after this time and spend around 2 hours watching their favorite television show and then go to bed late at night after 12pm.

What does ayurveda state?

Ayurveda suggests that one of the fundamental courses of diseases in humans is the ‘misuse of intelligence’. This is denoted by a term called as ‘Pragyaparadha’ by ayurveda experts. Even though, they are the intelligent race on the planet, the poor thing is that humans do not use their intelligence for situations that concern their body and its wellbeing. This is truer in the case of youth, who are of the opinion that bodily wellbeing is something that should be paid attention to at the later stages of life. They also think that all the more important at this stage are their ambition, career and of course money.

Habits in young age have a lasting impact:

Once a renowned Greek Philosopher, Aristotle said ‘good habits formed at youth make all the difference’. Yes, the habits that individuals get in their youth have a lasting impact on their lives and these habits often define the productivity and success in later part of life. So, when you can develop healthy eating and lifestyle right from your youth, there will not be any requirement of spending huge on treating chronic ailments in old age.
