Chellaram Diabetes Institute

Welcome to the Chellaram Diabetes Institute

There are currently about 50 million people with Diabetes Mellitus in India. The number is expected to double by 2040. The disease, along with its complications, threatens to have a crippling effect on the health and economy of a developing nation like India.

The existing public health care system in India is as such stretched with combating communicable diseases and dealing with the emerging epidemic of Diabetes and its complications.
