  • Just add one and a half cup of Epsom salt in a foot tub that is filled with warm water.

  • Just soak your foot in such a way that your heels are completely soaked in the water for about 10 minutes.

  • Then, scrub your heel with pumice stone and again soak for 10 more minutes.

  • Finally, pat dry the foot and apply some petroleum jelly or foot cream, such that the moisture will remain locked for long.

  • To ensure best results, you can use a pair of socks to prevent the moisture from evaporating.

Neem:

Sometimes, the cracks get infected and in this case cracked heels infection treatment becomes important and this is where neem or margosa leaves can help. This can be an excellent remedy if you have itchy or burning sensation in the cracks. Neem can sooth the dry and irritated skin and can help your heel get rid of infection because of its fungicidal properties. Here is how to use this remedy:

  • Just beat a handful of neem leaves in a mixer grinder to make a fine paste and then add three teaspoons of turmeric powder to this paste and mix well.

  • Then, apply this paste on the cracks and just leave them to dry for half an hour.

  • Finally, wash your feet with warm water and then dry with clean towel.

Honey:

As you are looking for home remedies for cracked heels, honey can bring you excellent results. With its sterile and nourishing properties, honey can bring excellent treatment to cracked and dry heels. Here is how to use this remedy:

  • Just take a tub with warm water and add a cup of honey to it.

  • Then, immerse your feet in this water for approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • After that scrub the feet gently

  • You can follow this remedy for several times a day or on a daily basis once until you see improvement.

There are many other home remedies like bananas, rice flour, vegetable oil, lemon, rosewater and glycerin to help you get rid of embarrassing cracks in heels.
