Home Remedies To Prevent Swine Flu

Just have five duly washed leaves of Tulsi plant daily in the morning. This is an excellent remedy to keep your lungs clear and it will help in protecting you from infections and in strengthening your immune system to a great extent.


This is a commonly available plant. You can take a foot long branch of this plant and can add five to six leaves of tulsi and can bring it to boil for about 15-20 minutes or until the extract of both these leaves get into the water. Add black pepper and salt and misri and drink this decoction while it is still warm on a regular basis. This can bring wonders to your immune system health. If you cannot get giloi branch, you can find giloi powder in herbal stores and can use it in the place of branch for boiling.


Commonly called as kappor can be taken once or twice a month. Adults can take a size of tablet by swallowing it with water, while kids can be given with mashed banana or potatoes. But, camphor should be used sparingly once or twice in a month and not regularly to keep away from common cold and flu.


If you take garlic, just take two pods of raw garlic first thing in the morning along with lukewarm water. This is an excellent remedy to strengthen the immunity system.


Those who are not allergic to milk can take half glass of milk with a pinch of turmeric powder every night.

Aloe vera:

A spoon of aloe vera gel when taken daily can do wonders not only for your joints and skin, but also for your immunity system as well.

Citrus fruits:

Taking citrus fruits, particularly amla can be of great help in strengthening immune system. Nowadays, amal ras is available in market and if you cannot get fresh fruits, you can opt for this and can achieve the best functioning of your immune system.

Homeopathic medicines:

You can also take homeopathic medicines like Influenzinum 200 and Pyrogenium 200. Even though, these are not specific for H1N1, they can prevent common cold and flu. These can be taken as 5 tablets for three times a day or two or three drops three times a day.

So, with these home remedies, you can protect yourself from the epidemic.
