The father of Homoeopathy was a very popular Allopathic surgeon of Germany, Dr Samuel Hahnemann. He worked hard in bringing a system of therapeutics which could treat the disease fully and does not lead to any side effects, and then Homoeopathy was born. There are various modes of medicine in our country which are very popular among patients. Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Allopathy are few of them. Here we would compare some important points in the treatment process of Allopathy and Homoeopathy.
Homeopathy Vs Allopathy:
Mode of Action: Allopathy works on the principle of contraria contraris curenter , which means opposite cures opposite. Homoeopathy works on the principle of simillia similibus curenter which means like cures like.
The method of diagnosis: In allopathy, cellular pathological causes are considered, and the .symptoms of body parts are taken into consideration. In Homoeopathy , Roleapart from all these, the mental symptoms and the mind of the patient is also taken into considerationThe role
of the nature of patient and body constitution : In Allopathy, there is no role of the nature and body constitution of the patient but in Homoeopathy apart from general symptoms of the disease, the constitution of body and nature of the patient, his likes and dislikes can also be considered. The theory behind this is that you have to treat the patient as a whole, not just a body part of the patient.
The curing process: Homoeopathy has a credibility of removing the diseases completely with their root cause. This may or may not be possible with the allopathic mode of treatment. The homoeopathy remedies start their action while you take the globules in the mouth. Allopathy remedies start action mostly when they reach the blood.
The requirement of Surgery: In many cases like the nasal polyp, tonsils , calculi or stone problems, surgery is recommended in Allopathic systems. In homoeopathy, Dr Hahnemann said that the cause of the disease is internal ,so you have to treat the infections inside the body. Until you treat the internal organs fully ,even after surgery, the problem will come. If nasal polyp and tonsils are untreated internally, even after surgery the disease will come back. That is why Dr. Hahnemann did not keep any provision for surgery in Homoeopathy.
Variation in the amount of dose: In Allopathy systems ,the higher the dose ,the better the patient. In Homoeopathy, the law of minimum is followed. That is why the crude substance is diluted thousands of times so that minimum amount of medicine is left. In Homoeopathy ,less dose or minimum or single dose is recommended.
How is a disease treated? In Allopathy, in order to treat a particular disease ,the disease-causing organism is removed from the body using antibiotics and symptomatic medicines. In Homoeopathy, the immune system is boosted so that your immune system or vital force can treat your body with its own energy.
Specific Medicines for specific diseases: Allopathic mode of treatment believes that one drug will work for all the patients suffering from that disease, for example, antibiotics can treat the throat infection of all the patients. Homoeopathy believes that the cause of throat infection can be different in different patients ,so medicines for them can be different. One type of medicine cannot treat all the patients; their medicine will depend on the cause of their infection.
