How Many Doctors are required to fix the India's Healthcare Problems

There was a latest research where in there was a report saying that the country should not have less than 2.5 health workers for every 1,000 people.

India currently has .57 physicians and .6 nurses for every 1,000 persons.

So is the addition of 10,000 MBBS seats a one of the good decision. We cannot guess the answer to this question. The doctor alone is enough to treat the patients with the doctor should have good education, training and appropriate orientation towards the community and should have a capacity to work as integrated team.

For example in UK more than 84,000 ailed health professionals with the renege of skills and expertise always play key roles within the national health services, working in multiprofessional teams in many settings.

Some of the doctors have PhD degrees and others use the title Dr but they are not medically qualified and all of them are first contact practitioners and also work for various locations and treat the patients with primary care.

Addition of 58 new medical colleges in India is also an advantage and a stepping stop towards the medical improvement. Not only increase in the quantity of doctors is important but the quality also matters a lot. The availability of the resources such as the libraries, simulation centres, with good facilities should be available at various centres.

The healthcare providers have to be trained centres of excellence and globally recognized institutions should be identified along with the hospitals with good practices. The medical institutes that decide to provide training should be incentivized by the government. The solutions should be found for the interactions between the educationists and the potential employer to assess the availability of the clinical sites.

A lot of steps are required to correct the situation where in there are less number of trainers so that they can work both in rural and urban areas. First we have to improve the Manpower of the health providers and then inaugurate the building. So lot many doctors are required to treat the N Number of Patients.
