The Doctors in Jaipur Conducted the Surgery of Foot and Ankle using the Google Glass.

The Orthopedic surgeon (Indian) Mr. Parekh used the Google glass, the tech giant's wearable computer into the operating room on Saturday January 11th as he performed the successful operation of foot and ankle surgery in Jaipur.

There were a team of doctors who were under the supervision of Dr Parekh who conducted the foot and ankle surgery wearing the Google glass and that broadcasted live on the Google website via internet.

This surgery was held during the three day annual Indo-US conference attended by the team of experts from US and headed by Dr Ashish Sharma.

Sharma also said that the Google glass will allow the doctor to look at the X-Ray or the MRI without taking the eye off from the patient and will also allow the doctor to communicate with the patient’s family of friends during the procedure.

The Image which the doctor sees through the Google glass will be broadcasted on the Internet. This is really very amazing technology. During the surgeries before along with the doctors the cameraman also had to move to capture the different angles. At this point of view there may be some infection. In this latest technology the image that is seen by the doctor using the Google glass will be seen by everyone and will be seen throughout the world.

Doctors informed that the small devices which feature the screen that sits just in front of the user's right eye will now revolutionize the surgery and also would teach the procedures to the aspiring surgeons without being the part of operation team.

The one advantage of Google Glass is that it is easily accessible through the internet and the doctors from across the globe so that it could give the input during the live surgery. In rural areas where such technology is not possible this latest technology can do wonders.

In the month of September 2013 a doctor in Chennai city become the first Indian doctor to perform the surgery wearing the Google glass as he performed live stream on upper gastro-intestinal laparoscopy procedure on the 45 yrs old man to medical students seated two blocks away.

The Google glass also has the frame that is similar to the traditional spectacles but again is actually a wearable computer that follows the voice commands.

It can also capture the photos and the videos to show the view point of the user.

The N Number of Gadgets are yet to be released and make a hit in the market but for now Google had distributed on an average 2000 glasses for testing so that it can made available to the people.
