Top 5 Ayurvedic Oil for Hair Nourishment

Every woman wants to get good, gorgeous and healthy hair. Many people rely on ancient Indian traditional Ayurvedic remedies  for treating hair problems. It is a fact that this traditional remedy has numerous power packed secrets that can help you with many troubles. 

Ayurvedic herbal formulations provides you numbers of hair oil which can be easily prepared in home and combat dandruff, dryness, hair fall and many other  hair problems. You just have to give a hair massage and leave it for night and continue this process on alternate days for six month then flaunting gorgeos hair are no exception.

Homemade hair oils :

1. Coconut oil

Coconut oil is itself best well known oil for hair growth and widely used in south India. You can add some more herbs to make it more beneficial.

Ingredients-

  • Curry leaf
  • Coconut oil

Take three bunches of curry Leaves. Take the leaves, wash them with water and dry them in shade so that there is no moisture left in them. Grind these dry curry leaves to make a paste. Then take a cup of coconut oil in pan and boil it for 2 minutes and then add a paste of curry leaves and boil it till it become dark green. Now filter this oil and let it cool and pour it into desired bottle.

A regular massage of this oil will nourish your hair roots.

2. Tulsi hair oil

Hot tulsi oil treatment is beneficial for dry and itchy scalp.

Ingredient-

  • Coconut oil
  • Fresh Tulsi leaves or tulsi powder
  • Fenugreek

Take tulsi leaves and wash them with water then grind them to make a paste. Now add 1 cup of coconut oil in pan along with this paste and heat it till its colour changes. At last add ½ tsp of fenugreek. And let it cool. Sieve the oil and store it in some container. Boil it at skin temp before using.

3. Amla hair oil

Amla hair oil is easily available on market but homemade amla oil is more beneficial in hair loss and other problems of hair.

Ingredient-

  • 2tsp-amla powder 
  • 1tsp-fenugreek 
  • 1cup- coconut oil 

Take amla powder, fenugreek and add 1 cup of coconut oil in pan and heat it in a low flame  till its colour changes to brown. Then sieve it and let it cool. Store it in a glass bottle. You can use this oil twice a day. before applying it on hair just warms it. Do a light massage. Wait for 10-15 min. and then you can take a bath.

4. Brahmi hair oil

Bhrami is an ancient herb known for memory enhancer. Its leaf are used to promote hair growth.

Ingredient-

  • 5-10tsp-brahmi powder 
  • 1tsp-fenugreek 
  • 1cup- coconut oil 

Take brahmi powder, fenugreek and add 1 cup of coconut oil in pan and heat it in a low flame till its colour changes to light brown. Then sieve it and let it cool. Store it in a glass bottle. You can use this oil twice a. before applying it on hair just warms it. Do a light massage. Wait for 10-15 min. and then you can take a bath.

5. Castor and olive oil

Castor and olive are well ancient hair oil rich in vitamin E, protein and enzymes. They moisturize, soften the hair, maintaining the moisture level in the hair and aids in blood circulation therefore results in faster hair growth. Since they are moisturizing in nature, prominently used to treat dry scalp.

 Castor oil consists of ricinoleic acid and Olive oil has a high concentration of anti-oxidants which is good for hair and also contains oleic acid which nourishes the hair root and promotes hair growth. This oil can be used plain but in combination there results are more effective.

Ingredient-

  • 1tsp- castor oil
  • 2tsp-olive oil
  • 4tsp- coconut oil

Take this oil in a small bowl mix it well; warm it in low flame for two minutes apply it on scalp with light massage.  

Other Tips for Hair Growth:

There are some daily hair care tips that gives you gorgeous, healthy, thick, shiny, moisturized and unhindered hair growth.

  • Don’t comb your hair when they are wet.
  • 8 hours sleep is must for hair growth.
  • Good diet along with plenty intake of water is important for a proper functioning of the body, thus leading to proper hair growth.
  • Avoid spicy unhealthy food, alcohol, cigarettes and other intoxicants.
  • Consume a full bowl of raw vegetables and salads daily.
  • 45 min morning walk along with yoga asanas and stretching exercise.
  • Avoid morning bed tea.
  • Regular hair massage with homemade hair oil.
