What is Parkinson’s Disease?
This is actually a degenerative disorder of the Central Nervous System that is known to mainly affect the motor system in the human body. In the early stages of the disease, the most obvious symptoms experienced by patients include those related to their movements. For instance, they might experience symptoms like gait, difficulty with walking, slowness of movement, rigidity and shaking of the body when they try to move from one place to another. In the later stages, there are chances of behavioral and thinking problems. Also, patients might experience dementia during the advanced stages of the disease.

When talking about the symptoms of Parkinson, depression is stated to be the most common psychiatric symptom and patients might experience other symptoms associated with emotion, sleep and sensation. The main motor symptoms associated with this disease are jointly called as Parkinsonian Syndrome or Parkinsonism.

When talking about environmental factors, pesticide exposure and pesticide exposure are stated to be the major contributors. Exposure to heavy metals can also lead to this health issue in some patients. Even though, this disease is stated to be a non-genetic disorder, reports state that around 15% of people with this disease have a first degree relative with this disease.
