Different factors that are responsible for a children’s growth

Different factors contribute to the different aspects of the health of a child. Following factors will be important to be noted for the growth & development of any child till he or she reaches to his or her teenage:-

Growth & development of a child are dependent on many subtle and complicated issues:

Ø Before conception or formation of a fertilized egg: - To be a healthy child depends much on the pre-egg-formation stage from where the fetus comes into being. That means if the parents are healthy and the parents’ genetic legacy is without any hereditary problem, there is every hope that the child will be healthy.  The importance of a healthy child at the very preconception stage is so important that the conception must be healthy in every respect, so that the fertilized egg can become a healthy fetus. Once this stage progresses in a healthy way, the prenatal period is the important stage for the growth of the baby in the womb. The stage is very crucial for different types of pediatric issues that are highly linked with obstetrical concerns for a new mother.

Ø Post delivery period: After the birth of a baby, a first time mother has to pass through to many new life experiencing experiences. The most important ones are the breast feeding, getting the new born screened and taking care of the newborn’s sleeping safety. Other factors are checkups, for which health care appointments are very much important.

Ø Immunization of the newborn: A baby in his or her post natal stage must be immunized in every respect. In this period the baby faces different types of challenges. There are many diseases when a newly born baby, if not taken care against different types of post natal diseases, may become the victim of acute problems.

Ø Introduction to solid foods: A baby must be introduced to solid foods at an appropriate time. Many instances are where new mothers either don’t want to discontinue with breast feeding or some of the mothers cannot suckle the new born due to insufficient breast milk or due to some other problems.

Ø Regular checkups with different types of health specialists: A new mother must keep the regular engagement with the doctors, both pediatric and obstetrician, for the regular check-ups for her and for the new baby.  Having appointment with a dentist is also necessary after few months.

Ø Toilet training: Without proper toilet training a baby will not only pose different types of problem, he or she may also invite different types of diseases due to improper hygienic conditions.

Many paediatrics issues are also involved in the growth of a new baby. Many paediatricians follow some classic stages for the growth and development of a baby. But many discount the classic stages for the growth and development of an infant, because they believe the growth of a child is to be supported by a continuum process.

The growth & development of a new-born depend on many astonishing stages during the entire period of his or her infancy till he or she becomes a teenager. The stage from the early infancy matures to the stage of a toddler. With the proper growth & development, a toddler becomes a child. A child grows to an adolescent. An adolescent steps into teen-age. Here comes the self-care as the dominating factor for the so-far transformed teenager.
