Know about the basics of blood for anyone in your family

We, the creation of God, cannot live without a red fluid material in our body i.e. Blood. Blood supplies necessary nutrients and oxygen to the cells of our entire body. The other job of blood is transporting metabolic wastes away from those cells, in which it supplies nutrition and oxygen.

When blood reaches to our breathing organ that is lungs, a peculiar exchange of gas occurs. In this position, oxygen gets diffused into our blood while carbon oxide gets diffused out into our pulmonary alveoli. The blood which is oxygenated gets pumped into our left side heart.  It enters to the pulmonary vein and ultimately to the left atrium. After this our mitral valve receives the blood to pass to the ventricle for taking all over our body by the function of aorta.

The strength of blood

Blood contains precious elements like oxygen, nutrients and antibodies. These are very much needed for our body’s normal working.

55 percent of our body fluid is Blood Plasma, which has 92% of water (in our blood). The other ingredients of blood plasma are blood cells themselves, dissipated proteins, hormones, glucose, mineral ions, carbon dioxide. Among the most important jobs of plasma is the medium for transporting excretory products.

The main protein in plasma is album, the function of which is regulation of blood’s colloidal osmotic pressure.

What do you mean by blood cells?

The red blood cells are the main cells in our blood, which is otherwise known as erythrocytes or RBCs. The white blood cells or leukocytes or WBCs are the other important constituent and the platelets which all constitute to be the blood cells.

Which are the most abundant cells in our blood?

The most abundant cell in our blood is red blood cells. Red blood cells an iron containing protein and hemoglobin these two important items help oxygen to be transported, being reversibly connected with the respiratory gas. This system immensely increases its solubility in blood. While on the other side the transportation of carbon oxide is done extra cellularly, which ultimately get dissolved in plasma in the form of bicarbonate ion.

What is Vertebrate blood?

Vertebrate blood is bright red only when oxygen gets mixed with hemoglobin, but the color may become dark in case it gets de-oxygenated.

White blood cells & its importance

Our body has a natural immune system, in which red blood cells protect us from parasites and infections It enters to the pulmonary vein and ultimately to the left atrium. After this our mitral valve receives the blood to pass to the ventricle for taking all over our body by the function of aorta.

Our body has a natural immune system, in which red blood cells protect us from parasites and infections. In the clotting of blood, Platelets play very important role.

What are the functions of blood in our body?

1> Supplying nutrients like amino acids, glucose and fatty acids are the one of the important jobs of blood. These nutrients either bound to plasma proteins or get dissolved in our blood.

2> Supplying oxygen to hemoglobin bound tissues, which carry red cells.

3> Extricating lactic acid, urea and carbon dioxide.

4> Carrying out immunological functions. It also circulates white blood cells.

5> Detecting antibodies types of foreign materials in our body.

6> Coagulating that means responding to the breakage of a blood vessel.

7> Converting blood from liquid to gel or semi-solid for stopping bleeding.

8> Functioning as messenger that includes tissue damage related signaling or transporting hormones.

9> Regulating core body temperature

10 Regulating of our body pH

11 All the hydraulic functions.
