Proper Child Care
Malnutrition among the children is a widespread problem. Children are mostly addicted to fast food, thus preferring to eat ready made products. Only Pizza, noodles, momo, burger, wrap and chop can satisfy their taste buds. In this advanced society, where parents have no time, kids are found to blindly depend on ready to cook food which contains preservative, fat, food colour and many other ingredients which have no nutritional value. Though we all know how to make fresh juice still we buy juice in tetra pack and consume the artificial drink without hesitation. Children have different metabolism. Doctors advise to give them natural products which help to build immunity for all age groups.
Now-a-days child nutrition has become a prime concern for the parents. When parents consult a pediatrician they are advised to maintain a proper diet for their child. The diets include green leafy vegetables, fruits, milk preferably breast milk for a new born / infant, lightly cooked fish and chicken which they can be easily digested by them. Milk contains calcium which helps in bone development. Green vegetables are equally useful as they make our eyesight strong. Fish and meat supply protein which gives us our body strength.
Hence it is always advised to try to avoid fried food for your child, as it enhances the possibility of obesity. Healthy foods boost the children’s energy and help them to combat illness.
We have a misconception about malnutrition. Normally, we consider, any lean skinny kid as a physically unfit child. In reality, obesity is also a sign of malnourishment and it has a deadly effect on any one’s body. In the third world countries, where most of the people suffer from poverty, are victims of poor health. Poverty stricken children who live in slums are affected with malnutrition eversince their birth. This is because their unhealthy living and little food consumption. Mothers who have a tendency to give birth every year are physically weak. Calcium deficiency is very common in women and it has a direct impact on their children. Physical development of a child gets a halt which reflects in body weight. In such condition children are prone to be anemic and a deferred brain development is observed in these children. As a guardian it is our duty to give our child a healthy diet after consulting a doctor.
Apart from food, you should teach them proper hygienic attributes. Take them for physical checkup at a certain interval. Now kids share a common problem in their teeth. Consult dentist and make it a habit for them to brush their teeth at least twice a day after their meals.
Physical exercise is also an important part in which you should encourage your kids to participate. Now schools also conduct yoga and karate classes for a healthy benefit of the students. They not only become physically strong but mentally sound and poised too. Yoga helps them to improve their concentration power.
Pay some extra attention to your child not only because it is your responsibility rather your child needs your care. You have to ensure him or her good food, good life and healthy practice. Your child’s growth is in your hand. Now you can also make a difference to some underprivileged kids by contributing your time and donating some amount.
