We all are aware about heart attack, just need to be aware of prevention and cause of heart attack. It occurs due to making of plaques in coronary arteries stop.

Plaques-It is a waxy substance which takes long period of time to build by deposit of fat and cholesterol in the blood vessels. When the flow of blood stops this causes heart attack.

How you prevent heart attack:

People can prevent it by following some simple tips as follows:

· People can prevent the risk of Heart attacks by just by dietary modifications and lifestyle changes.

· We know that healthy body prevent too many diseases for that healthy food is very important factor to prevent high cholesterol, diabetes and hypertension.

· We should eat more vegetables and fruits and food containing fibres and complex carbohydrates such as oats and barley to prevent from heart attack.

· Cigarette smoking habitual people should take more care because it produces carbon monoxide (CO). And Smoking makes inhale CO instead of oxygen. Instead of oxygen smokers takes carbon dioxide that is not good for heart.

· Smoke of the cigarette poisons the red blood cells and keeps them away from carrying oxygen thus causing insufficient oxygen supply (hypoxia) to your heart.

· One more risky factor which is responsible for heart attack is Stress who is not able to control stress has severe negative impact on lipid metabolism and can cause chronic atherosclerosis.

· People who take too less or too much sleep can cause coronary heart disease and heart attacks.

· Research shows that people who sleep less than 5 hours or more than 10 hours are, on an average, 40% more likely to get a heart disease than those who sleep at an average of 8 hours.

· People who don’t care about their health and anything which is not good for their health and they suffer the problem called Obesity, especially abdominal fat, is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Sedentary lifestyle without adequate physical activity may lead to obesity and unhealthy living.

· If the person who has some problem and diagnosed with High Cholesterol, they must strictly follow the dietary restrictions on all kinds of fatty or sugary food. Whole grain breakfast with beaten brown-rice (Lal-Poha), Broken Wheat (Dalia), Oatmeal, Black Gram or Whole wheat bread has been proven beneficial in managing cholesterol levels.

· Diabetic person should Control sugar levels. Diabetes can cause Coronary Heart Diseases and Heart Failure (Diabetic Cardiomyopathy).

· Blood pressure is the measurement of the force of the blood against the walls of blood vessels.

· When blood pressure is measured, there are two readings –

1. Systolic and

2. Diastolic pressure.

· The systolic pressure - The pressure when heart is expanded.

· The diastolic reading –It is when heart is at rest.

· It is very important to reduce your Salt intake to manage your Blood Pressure.

· High blood pressure may cause damage to the heart muscles.

· Several herbs and nutritional supplements are rich in anti-oxidants and dietary fibres.

· People should include Blueberry, Bilberry, Turmeric, Fenugreek, Cinnamon, Ginger, Guggul, Ginkgo, Garlic, Spring Onions, Soya and Parsley in your diet.

· Omega-3 fatty acids provide protection from heart diseases and is found in foods such as salmon and mackerel; flaxseeds, walnuts, almonds and canola oil.
