In the study conducted by the Scientific World Journal, the participants were provided with 70 grams of honey for consumption on a daily basis for a month continuously. The same type of study was conducted by the Journal of Medicinal Food as well with different groups of people. The result was that LDL levels in these two groups of people reduced considerably. It was also found that these people experienced an increase in the HDL level as well. This means that honey, in addition to bringing down the LDL level, can also play a major role towards increasing the HDL as well.
