The most common problem of winters is drying of skin. These seasons suck up the moisture of skin and make it dry, itchy and scaly. Some of your habits make this condition worse such as excessive use of soap, avoiding use of lotion, malnutrition, ageing etc.

There is no. of product available in market which can easily hydrate your dry skin. But still they don’t nourish your skin you need to apply them again and again. Beside this there are so many home remedies which can rehydrate and nourishes your skin very well.

Home remedies for dry skin

• Almond oil
It is non-greasy oil and a rich source of vit C. It acts as one of the finest lubricating agent for skin. It restores the moisture and repairs the damaged tissue. Apply it on skin along with gentle massage for 10 minute and rinse it

• Coconut oil
This oil is easily absorbed by skin, it contain a sufficient amount of fatty acid which repairs the skin and prevent the skin from drying of Just apply this oil and leave it for the night and next day you will feel the magical healing of coconut oil.

• Olive oil
It is an excellent source of vitamin E and K which helps for soothing the skin and prevents it from scaling off. A mask made up of Olive oil you to rehydrate your.
Just take olive oil, egg yolk, rose water and lime juice in bowl mix it to make paste, apply it in your face leave it there for 5 minutes and then rinse it.

• Glycerine
It is the best natural way to moisturize your skin, to use it take a half cup of glycerine then add some lemon juice in it mix it very well and store it in a glass bottle apply it every night with a gentle massage. See the result in next morning.

• Honey scrub
Winters are already so hard to your skin, a homemade scrub is better to use.
Take 2 tsp of honey, 2 tsp of lime juice and 1 tsp of fine sugar mix it very well and then use it for scrubbing your face along with gentle massage. It helps to remove your dead skin and improves the skin tone.

• Oats(avena sativa)
This familiar breakfast grain soothes and moistens skin. It also promotes the cells growth which lightens the skin tone. Just take 1 glass of water and 4 tsp of oats in it and boil it for 10 minutes. Strain it and apply it after cooling.

• Avocado
This fruit is excellent source of vitamin A,D,E which makes it a perfect blend for skin, just apply the mashed fruit paste in your dry skin.

• Echinacea
This wildflower has capability to stimulate and repair of the connective tissue and is effectively used in different skin disorder. Just apply the paste of its powder for 10 minutes on your face to recover the dry skin damages.

• How to keep the moisture in
Dry skin need moist. Although baths hydrate the skin, just avoid too hot water as it often aggravates itching. And don’t soak too long or bath too frequently; in this way you’re depleting your skins natural oils. Try to use a mild variety of soap. Immediately apply plenty of body lotion or cream to hold the moisture. Avoid product with alcohol, synthetic fragrances or lanolin; use product that incorporate skin soothing herbs.
