Bad breath is the most common problem faced by many people from around the globe these days. Even though, this condition is stated to be caused due to some problems in the stomach, there are many other contributing factors as well. Regardless of the reason behind this issue, here are some useful remedies to get out of this issue:

Plenty of water: Generally, the bacteria that live in the mouth are anaerobic in nature. They split the foods that we eat into glucose nd proteins, which is further broken down into volatile sulphur compounds, thereby leading to bad breath. Experts are of the opinion that when an individual with this issue can consume plenty of water, the bacterial growth will be controlled and the bad breath caused by the bacteria will also be kept under check.

Fennel seeds: Fennel seeds are naturally aromatic and they have anti-bacterial property as well. They can be effective in combating bacteria and they will also refresh the mouth. Consumption of a handful of these seeds after each meal will bring down the chance of foul smell and these seeds will also enhance the digestive process.

Cardomom: Cardomom is rich in a substance known as cineol. This compound is of anti-septic nature and it helps in treatment of inflammation in gums. This can also lead to bad smell and eating cardamom in addition to curing the inflammation can also fight the bad smell.

Clove: This spice has a wide range of properties like anti-microbial, anti-septic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. These characteristics can cure a wide range of dental issues, thereby addressing the main issue causing the bad breath.

Baking soda: Baking soda can effectively change in the pH level in the mouth and can work hard against the bacteria that cause bad smell. This is done by damaging the environment in which the bacteria survive. Bad smell can be avoided by mixing baking soda with salt and cleaning the teeth with this mixture like tooth powder.

Non-vegan foods should be avoided: Oral hygiene is greatly influenced by the foods that we consume. Some foods like onion and garlic, even though they are vegan can cause bad breath. Of course, non-vegan foods also create such an issue. So, a person concerned about bad breath should avoid these foods as much as possible.

Cheese varieties can be added to the diet: Cheese varieties like camembert, blue, Roquefort can fight bad breath.
