Every year the autumn season as well as the winter season brings cold and cough with itself. These seasons are also referred to as the flu seasons. Seasonal flu or regular flu are varied in nature and can be seen in the whole world as a temporary inconveniency.
Regular flu does not result in prolonged health issues for an average individual excluding the old people and the people with weak immune system in the body. Almost every death pointed to the regular flu happens contained by this particular demographic.
The major difference includes the immunity power. We all are rendered every year with several issues of regular flu. The H1N1 virus or the swine flu can’t be included in this variety. It is an entirely different disease that comes up in the spring no one has ever faced this disease before. This also implies that none of them is involuntarily immune.
Most of the flu problems originate from human beings. But there are some of them which originate from animals. For example birds can raise a flu type called H5N1 and the pigs give rise to H1N1 flu virus. Although, these usually do not affect individuals but if something occurs due to which it causes the people and crosses the limit and affect them.
The swine flu was first observed in April, 2009 in Mexico. It was diagnosed in a person of Mexico who lived near a pig farm in Vera Cruz. The CDC believed that this H1N1 virus creates an immense disease trouble for young people or youth of 25 yrs in age. There are very less cases been reported for people with age group of 60 years to 75 years. It must be due to their experience with the same influenza A in the year 1960.
As we know that a regular flu medicine and even vaccine can’t cure swine flu, it can’t even prevent the deadly disease. It is completely different one. It seems in 2009, October that this vaccine might not be available for some time. The beginning supply probably be allocated as the manufacturers were not able to supply large amount of these vaccines for everyone.
If you are suffering from cold and cough, and also have some kind of pain and a sore throat with continuous coughing or sneezing, then there are chances of flu. But the question arises is which flu should it be? Because in both the flu the initial symptoms are similar, therefore the physician has to diagnose your body to make a conclusion. This can be done by the lab test while using a mere scrub/swab.
The symptoms or indications stay for very few days in regular flu and in that of swine flu, the symptoms remain for seven days or more, and if become severe and complicated, it lasts for several days. The doctors become concerned especially when these symptoms harshly affect our respiratory organs/system. So everyone should be very careful with both the flu’s and should remember the differences between the two.
