Winter has come and as temperatures is going down day by day, a constant need for keeping ourselves warm get larger. Electric room heaters also help in warming the room and making us feel cosy but these are also coming with side effects that cause many illnesses.

Side effects of room heaters or electric heaters:

These heaters warm the air inside the house, while reducing the moisture content of the air, making it dry also.

Breathing in dry air causes to respiratory disorders like sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis and also nosebleeds due to dried membranes.

It makes us more prone to infections as the first line of defence, the mucus membrane, is damaged.

Lacking moisture in the air is also harmful to our skin already dry skin is a common problem during winter, which also causes itchiness and rough skin.

Dry air also dries out mucus membranes which are moist, result of that catching all dust and infection-causing agents, ruling to their inflammation.

Staying in the room with heaters can worse this condition as dry air evaporates moisture from the skin.

Lacking moisture in the air has also shown to evaporate tears from the eyes, making it difficult to maintain the fine balance required for moist and healthy eyes.
