Fertility Issues In Women

Reports state that approximately one-third of infertile couples have problem with the lady partner and different factors can contribute towards fertility issues in women. The causes can range from age-related hormonal changes to a history of STDs. The relieving news for women with problem in getting pregnant is that they can eventually become moms, but they need medical help for the same. In some cases, even treatment becomes unnecessary as many infertile couples become parents successfully.

Risk factors:

Experts state that when it comes to fertility in women, age is an important factor to consider. Once a lady reaches her mid 30s, it will be somewhat difficult for her to conceive. The reason is that the quality of eggs will eventually reduce after 32 years. When this is the case of those in their mid 30s, it is needless to say about those in their 40s and even they are known to be at the greater risk of delivering babies with Down Syndrome, even when they conceive at this age. Here are some of the lifestyle factors that can leave women at the risk of infertility:

• High caffeine intake like consuming more than 6 cups of coffee a day

• Being significantly underweight or overweight

• Those with history of sexually transmitted infections.
