Typhoid - Diagnosis Test


Typhoid Test:

A complete blood count (CBC) will show a high amount of white blood cells in the blood. A blood culture during the first week of fever may show the bacterium Salmonella typhi .

Other tests that may help diagnose this condition are:

  • Urine ELISA test to look for the bacteria that causes typhoid fever
  • Study of fluorescent antibodies to find specific substances for the typhoid bacteria
  • Platelet count (will less)
  • Coproculture
