MANGO JUICE: NUTRITION, BENEFITS, RECIPE

Mango Juice:

There are two types of mango juice that can be made with this fruit. One is blended mango juice and another is pressed mango juice.

Blender mango juice:

To make this recipe, you will need the following:

  • A few ice cubes
  • Two tablespoons of sugar
  • A cup of water
  • A couple of ripe mangoes.

How to make?

  • Just wash the two mangoes and remove the peel. After this, cut the mango into smaller pieces and add them to the blender. Remember not to add the seed.
  • But, before throwing the seed away completely remove the pulp and add to the blender.
  • Add sugar, little water, and crushed ice. Blend until everything becomes smooth.
  • Just run the blended mixture through a sieve.
  • Throw away the leftover pulp and if the juice is thick just add some water and serve the fresh mango juice.

Pressed mango juice:

The pressed mango juice needs the same ingredients like the blender mango juice. The difference is that you need not have a blender.

  • Just remove the peel and crush the ripen mangoes with hands. Just add sugar and water and stir well.
  • You can also add sliced ice if needed and can serve cool. If you want it to be a thick paste, you need not add water.
  • Otherwise, you can add the required amount of water. You can also preserve the juice in the refrigerator to use later once it becomes cold without adding ice when blending.

Benefits of Mango juice:

Mango juice brings all the benefits associated with the fruit, except the fact that the nutritious values in peel will be lost in juice as you will remove the peel when converting it into juice. In addition, it is better to take it as a fruit, rather than as a juice. The reason is that to prepare juice you will add sugar, which will not happen when you consume it as a whole fruit. Here is the list of top 5 benefits you can expect from a serving of mango juice:

  • A serving of mango juice per day will help with weight gain in the case of lean individuals.
  • It will help with addressing low blood count
  • It will improve the health of eyes
  • It will prevent indigestion and acidity
  • It will cut down bad cholesterol levels
