Effects of Blood Sugar and its Cure

According to World Health Organization, Increase of blood sugar leads to diabetes the number of diabetic patients will be doubled shortly. Too much sugar or glucose in the body causes an enduring disease called Diabetes. There are two types of diabetes. The first is juvenile diabetes, which is found in kids and young adults. The second is type 2 diabetes is found in adults, and it is known as the silent killer. If it is not properly treated, it leads to major health complications. It directly affects our main functional organs like kidney, heart, eyes. Our body gets glucose through the food we consume. The pancreas releases a hormone called insulin that regulates the blood sugar level in our body. If sugar level is higher in your body insulin can store the extra sugar in the liver and discharges it when the sugar level in our body is low. If insulin is not produced sufficiently in your body, you may develop blood sugar.

Juvenile Diabetes

It is sad that more children are found diabetic at an early age. The pancreas cannot produce adequate insulin in the body of diabetic patients because of the damaged beta cells in their body. Improved medical science has come up with a solution. Acute diabetic patients inject insulin regularly to avoid the critical condition. If your forefathers were diabetic patients, there is a chance that it may transfer into your system as this disease is considered hereditary the blood sugar level is high in our body. If that is so, you better check on your food. A child with a diabetic sibling is more prone to be diabetic in comparing to an unaffected family. Their body lacks the production of insulin and sugar level is high in blood which overflows through urination.  The symptoms of type 1 diabetes are weakness and frequent urination.

Type 2 Diabetes:

This lifelong disease is a consequence of irregular insulin production. Excess fat damages the balance of insulin in our body which is called insulin resistance. As a result of it sugar cannot enter cells and it is stored in the blood which is called hyperglycemia. Family history and genes are referred in type 2 diabetes also. It is proved that overweight is a major cause of type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetic patients initially do not face any trouble. So in many cases, it remains undetected for a long period. Early symptoms are fatigue, hunger, and increased urination and slow healing of infection are symptoms of diabetes.

Once diabetes is detected, you need to be a bit careful about your health. First, you have to control the sugar level in your body by consulting a doctor followed by medication. Physical exercise offers many benefits. It can improve insulin sensitivity and helps to reduce the additional glucose level in our body. You can burn your extra calories through a physical activity which at the same time controls blood pressure.  It can help you to handle stress. Henceforth, it is clear that physical exercise is mandatory for both type 1 and two diabetes patients.

What can be the preventive measures?

We consume sugar in many ways. In breakfast, we start our day with a cup of tea and add sugar to taste. Change this habit and control your sugar intake in any form. Check blood sugar level by using Glucose meter every day and keep a record. Your diet and medicine will be based on that level. Moreover, you have to be cooperative with your doctor and follow him blindly. Proper food that contains protein, vitamin and carbohydrate are needed for your health. A dietitian can guide you better and suggest you some effective measures to lose weight. Once your blood sugar level is under control that does not mean it is cured. You have to continue the treatment to keep your level  stable.
