What about the feelings of the family after organ donation?

Organ donation is the biggest gift one can bequeath to anyone. This will not only make a permanent episode of boldness. Here sacrifice is of least importance rather boldness prevails towards humanity. Everyone in the family will be the part of the priceless occasion.

Does the body get disfigured after organ donation and affect burial or cremation arrangements?

It is never so. There is no single occasion when a body is returned to the family of the donor with cuts and holes. The doctors take utmost care to return the body to the family member with fullest medical honor. Hence, no customary arrangement / rituals come in the way of funeral or burial. The appearance of the body remains almost the same. The surgeons who perform these transplantations are highly skilled. They take care of many things from harvesting to transplanting. The body after harvesting does not appear to be disfigured in any way, nor get any rituals hampered due to the harvesting of the organ. There are many cases when surgeons remove multiple organs from a single body. Example: - Just a few days have passed, when a family of “brain dead” young boy had donated 33 organs which were transplanted to 35 terminally ill patients. The family members wished that their son should live among 35 lives even after the mortal death.
