Recently I have had an operation on 19 Oct 2016 due to having a little growth over skin in the right back. The histopathology report from the specimen of the tissue from the growth over right back shows the following findings. Gross: Elliptical piece of skin with sub-cutis measuring 7x4.5x2.5 cm containing an ulcerated exophytic gray brown growth measuring 4.5 cm in diameter. (Growth x2, A-Deep margin x1, B-Medial margin x1, C-Lateral margin x1, E-Superior margin x1, E- Inferior margin x1). Micro: Sections show features of pigmented basal cell carcinoma with ulceration of the surface. All the margins including deep margin are free of tumour. The surgeon has suggested me to contact with an oncologist after cutting of stitches on the 5th Nov 2016. Based on the primary advice of an oncologist he suggested me to take radio therapy for about one month. Under such circumstances what is your suggestions and then please give me an idea about the cost if I would like to take radio therapy in Vellore in India.
